The author has over 25 years experience in traditional electric gate operator service, solar gate operator development, and installations of residential and commercial low voltage DC electric gate operators. The reader should be advised that the author is still learning and will freely offer an opinion. An Overview of Design:

You now have a mind boggling number of choices when it comes to adding an electric gate operator to your gate but very few companies, if any, can give you a turnkey product including the simplest, efficient mechanical speed reduction; a pair of generic 12v AGM batteries wired in series to give 24vdc; MPPT solar boost charge controller (MPPT efficiency and a voltage boost feature to enable a 12v panel to charge the 24v batteries); a 12v 30-50 watt solar panel (if you already have a panel that is no greater than 200w with a 12v or 36v output you can use it - save a buck); a solar panel bracket for post or column mount; 10' of terminated Red/Black 14/2 tinned copper conductors to connect the panel to the controller; a somewhat inconspicuous (11.4"h x 8.3"w x 3.1"d) gray control/battery box with an externally view-able voltage meter so you can keep an eye out for the battery state of charge before it becomes an issue; 3 cable glands on the bottom for simple electrical cable routing for the operator, solar panel, and an accessory; four of our 4 button remotes with the ability to turn on outside lights (see #8 in Tips & Tricks); a safety photo eye; an electric lock; an incredible 3 year 100% parts replacement warranty; plus our exclusive '335 option'! We also sell a compatible, reliable, and attractive wireless key pad and an exit wand!

If you are looking for service of your existing non-USGate operator send us an email with your issues and, for a flat fee of $50, we can diagnose the problem online or you pay nothing!

If your property is within 40 miles of Prescott Arizona we can stop by and, if we can not fix the problem, you pay nothing! Labor rates are $90 for the first hour and $70 per hour thereafter plus any parts if needed - we can usually take care of the problem within the first hour!
