Access Controls

Whenever possible we will suggest a wireless product. This configuration saves time with your installation, reduces the potential for service problems, and may give you more flexibility with the location of the device. Keep in mind that the average wireless product has a range of about 100 feet.

At this point in time we only offer 2 accessory access controls: wireless key pad and a direct burial hard wired automatic exit driveway wand. We provide 3 gland clamps at the bottom of the control box for the arm, solar panel, and a spare for the exit wand if you want it. If you need more, just ask.

Wireless Keypad:   $97.00

1. It's a good looking product that is designed to be located out in the rain, snow, dust, heat, whatever. It does have an

internal battery that will need to be replaced as needed.

2. We strongly suggest using a 4 button remote to ultimately give you the most practical options such as turning on

an outside light, opening your garage doors, etc.

Automatic Exit Driveway Wand:  $110.00

The most popular and easiest to install/service/replace of any of the automatic exit features is typically the "wand" style. It is simply a short (typically about 16") length of a tube housing about 3/4" in diameter that is placed along or in the drive way. As a vehicle moves past the wand, the gate will open.

Keep in mind that almost any rapidly moving object (a horse or large dog) can (in theory) also open the gate. An automatic exit is also less secure than a keypad - I once saw a guy open his gate by tossing a shovel across the wand! If this is a concern we should chat.
