Swing Gate Operators:

​

Any swing gate cuts a large arc across your driveway. This area is the danger zone that we need to address. We include one photo eye with your purchase but it wouldn't hurt if you added a second one to 'surround' that arc. With any swing gate that is as long or longer than an automobile, that vehicle can be within the arc of travel of the gate without impacting the photo eye so the operator does not 'know' that the vehicle is there and will close the gate. If the vehicle remains static, the gate might impact the vehicle, stop, reverse back to the open position. At this point we would hope the vehicle driver will get out of the way so the gate can safely close. If the driver of the vehicle has passed out for whatever reason, the gate will impact the vehicle again, re-open and give up by staying open until you take the driver and the vehicle out of the way. Our belief is that if a second person is trying to tailgate through your gate - please enlighten them prior to entry to your property. This is no different than driving through an intersection - be safe not sorry!

​​​​A Few Unique Features:

​

1. The SW16 Swing Gate Opener is designed to open a gate up to 16' in length. 

​

2. We include 2) 12v 3ah standard AGM batteries within the water tight control box so you have no

    additional boxes to add nor jumper wires to corrode.

​

3. We include a 12v 50W solar panel to give you an extra bit of cushion on cloudy days.

​

4. Our MPPT solar controller will keep the batteries charged and ready to go into action upon

    your command. NOTE: Our MPPT controller will also boost lower voltage panels up to the need 24v.

    If you already have a 12v - 42v panel up to 300w - use it! You can almost throw anything at our

    controller and it will function just fine. Let us know before you purchase so we can credit the cost of

    our panel.

5. We provide a volt meter and it is viewable without having to open the control box so you can easily

    keep a casual eye on the the health of your battery!

​

6. Where the power cord exits the arm, we add a strain relief that will virtually eliminate a very

    common problem with most arm style operators - exposing the bare wire core due to cracking of the

    insulation. True, it will most likely take a few years for disintegration of the wire insulation for this 

    to happen but it will happen and we have to think about that since we have a 3 year warranty!

7. The control box contains the control circuit, the charge controller, the radio control receiver, and

    the lithium battery but is only about 11" high x 8" wide x 3" deep! No extra battery boxes to buy and

    wire up keeps the installation looking and performing in a professional manner!

8. We use extra strong cap screws and locking nuts to keep the arm securely connected to the gate.   

​

9. We use a unique method to secure the post bracket and keep it here you set it with NO welding!

​

10. No welding is need at all to install our operator but if you want to, you can. 

​

11. We use a tough, precise, permanently lubricated and well engineered gear motor to transmit power

     to the gate for real life reliability and are proud to show it off to you!
